The air was filled with a grayish-blue mist. The time had now shifted to very late at night. The story background of Romeo and Juliet’s movie was late 16th-century England. The city currently had no serious light pollution, so the moonlight was like water, illuminating the city streets.

Returning from the Lost Domain to the second-level dreamscape, just as Xie De opened his eyes, he heard Gibberish whispering nervously in his earpiece.

“Whatever you do, don’t make a sound! We are in great danger right now.”

Gibberish’s nervousness made Xie De’s already tense heart rise further. He carefully avoided making a sound, observing his surroundings left and right.

Night had fallen. The residents who had treated him as if he didn’t exist during the day were now actually roaming the city one by one. Their eyes lacked vitality, and they were like zombies, groping around everywhere. The moment they heard even the slightest movement, they swarmed over.

Obviously, they were blind, and were also the killing intent of the movie’s night.

Xie De was currently at the exact spot where he had entered the Lost Domain during the day, situated at the corner of an eaves. At a distance of two meters to his left, there was an old woman with lifeless eyes crawling on the ground, getting closer and closer to him.

The temperature here was not as cold as in the Lost Domain.

But Xie De felt a chill run through his entire body. He cautiously and vigilantly moved forward, dodging the old woman’s groping.

Hu Songlin had probably returned as well, but not here. According to the setting of the Inception Space, when this guy died in the Lost Domain, although Xie De was the one who shot and killed him, because of his special ability, the scenario would judge it as a suicide. And committing suicide in the Lost Domain meant returning to reality.

Returning to reality had its pros and cons. For ordinary players, of course there were more cons, because there was no way to judge whether there would be things more dangerous than the movie existing in reality. Moreover, the clues inside the movie hadn’t been fully found yet, so returning to reality wasn’t a good choice.

But if it was Hu Songlin, then whether it was reality or the movie, there probably wasn’t any difference, right?

This guy with European-emperor luck.

Xie De gnashed his teeth in thought. If only a fraction of that luck was shared with him, he wouldn’t be surrounded by so many ghosts and monsters, opening his eyes only to face killing intent. Truly hateful.

But it was also a good thing. Because of the surrounding quietness, the noise in the distance was very obvious. Amidst the silvery light cast by the moonlight, in the hazy darkness, there was a patch of glaring bright light. All the residents groping around in the town were staying far away from that mansion.

Obviously, that was where the plot was taking place. And right now, what Xie De had to do was to carefully sneak over. He absolutely must not make a sound, and absolutely must not be touched by them.

T^T

While Xie De was pleading bitterly, inside the mansion he was heading towards, Wei Yanchi calmly opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw was Hu Wei looking at him very seriously, ready to wake him up at any moment. Seeing him awake, she hurried to ask.

“How is it? Has Mr. 39 come out? You’ve slept here for eight minutes, and the people below have probably mostly been killed by now. That woman is looking for traces of us everywhere. She almost came over. Yue Xiamo went out to lure her away. Mr. 39…”

“He came out.”

Wei Yanchi said softly, lowering his head in a moment of silence. He thought of the deep presence in his mind that he had discovered quite unexpectedly this time, and then thought of the sensation of bullets piercing human bodies and blood splattering on his face, as well as Mr. 39’s cold eyes.

Mr. 39 didn’t seem to need his help.

“Then where is he? It’s extremely dangerous outside, and the Lost Domain is also very dangerous. Although this time it’s mostly thanks to you bringing him out…” Hu Wei asked anxiously.

Wei Yanchi’s jade-like eyes looked towards her, stating once again, “It wasn’t me, Mr. 39 came out on his own, and casually brought me out too. He is very strong. Hu Wei, you shouldn’t discuss him with such a pitiful tone, nor should we take it for granted that he is in a position where he ought to be protected. That is an insult to Mr. 39.”

“I…” Hu Wei stiffened instantly and glared at him fiercely.

“I’m just flustered out of concern. You keep what I said to yourself, you are not allowed to tell Mr. 39, otherwise I’ll make you pay.”

While they were talking, Juliet, who was hiding to the side, suddenly spoke up in fear.

“You two, you two, a lion is coming towards us.”

She looked with trembling eyes through the crack in the window. Sure enough, there was an imposing, large lion pacing back and forth at the door, staring at the door very suspiciously.

Hu Wei grabbed Juliet and dragged her to a corner behind her, covering her mouth. Moving quickly, Wei Yanchi directly dragged a cabinet over to block the door.

The two exchanged a look and chose the most suitable position to attack.

Finally, amidst the agonizing sound of heartbeats, the large lion hesitated no longer and slammed fiercely into the door. With just two rams, the cabinet was smashed to pieces, and it charged in with fiercely glinting eyes.

Wei Yanchi immediately struck first. He had always had an enchanted dagger strapped to his waist. Gold threads outlined intricate patterns at the hilt, flashing with a startlingly cold light under the lamp. This was clearly an instance item.

Wei Yanchi was agile, and with the support of the item, he didn’t need Hu Wei’s help. This lion, manifested merely in the dreamscape, was pierced through the head by his dagger in just two or three strokes.

However, the expressions of the two didn’t relax in the slightest. Instead, they became even more solemn.

“Jump down from the balcony,” Wei Yanchi said decisively.

Hu Wei glanced at Juliet.

“We are on the third floor, what about her?”

“Either jump together, or stay here.”

As he spoke, Wei Yanchi had already reached the balcony. Just as he was about to flip out, he saw that the area below the balcony was already surrounded by lions, salivating at him, emitting fierce green light and letting out terrifying low growls from their throats.

Consequently, Wei Yanchi pushed back with both hands and stood back inside the room.

“We’ve been discovered.”

Sure enough, the death of this one lion had drawn over more lions… and that crazy woman.

There were no lions at the doorway, only Pearl standing there. She was actually very good-looking, like a girl next door, and she looked about the same age as Hu Wei. She merely held a steel pitchfork, smiling at them.

“You two, you two! Why hide here? Why not come out and dance with us?”

What Pearl spoke was, of course, German. Twirling the steel pitchfork in her hand, she hopped happily to Wei Yanchi’s side, tilting her head, waiting with full malice for this calm person to show a flaw.

But Wei Yanchi didn’t scream out loud in terror like that group of people. Instead, quite to Pearl’s liking, he replied in German with a touch of gentlemanliness.

“We are just a little tired, so we wanted to come here to avoid the limelight, or perhaps we can go out for a drink now.”

Pearl squinted her eyes, leaning in closer.

“Little gentleman, were you planning to flip out just now?”

“No, as I said, we are just a bit tired, so I was just looking at the scenery and enjoying the night breeze.” Wei Yanchi replied calmly.

This watertight answer made Pearl a little angry. She stared closely at Wei Yanchi, trying to find even a tiny bit of fear in his eyes.

She was leaning in a bit close. Wei Yanchi smiled faintly, but he felt somewhat surprised in his heart. He smelled the scent of Mr. 39’s cigarette smoke on this instance BOSS.

It must be that 39 had run into her.

Seeing that this kid was impervious to both soft and hard approaches, Pearl had already shifted her target. Having learned her lesson, she didn’t bother with small talk this time. The steel pitchfork in her hand brushed viciously past the corner of Hu Wei’s eye. Hu Wei stood firm. Apart from her lips trembling slightly, she raised her chin haughtily, truly resembling the nobility from Western Europe.

Pearl said exaggeratedly, “Madam, were you frightened by me just now?”

“No, but you are exceptionally rude. I was just angered by your rudeness.”

Pearl tilted her head from side to side, looking at her like a snake. Then, immediately noticing something, she rushed over and made as if to plunge the steel pitchfork in her hand into Juliet’s head.

Juliet didn’t have as good a psychological quality as they did, and couldn’t help but let out a scream right then and there.

Pearl burst into loud laughter.

“Hahahaha, so you guys are this afraid of me.”

Oh no. Wei Yanchi and Hu Wei realized at the same time: their movements were being restricted and slowed down.

That steel pitchfork seemed to have some kind of magic as Pearl approached them with a crazy laugh.

There’s still a way, Wei Yanchi’s eyes darkened.

Creak.

“What are you doing?”

A low, hoarse male voice entered their ears. Hu Wei snapped her head up and yelled in pleasant surprise.

“Mr. 39!”

Pearl’s movements also paused, and she actually put away the steel pitchfork, looking over like a small animal.

Xie De wasn’t in as sorry a state as they were. Without a speck of dust on him, he looked at them teasingly with unhurried dark green eyes.
