“I want to be a movie star. This is my dream. I have a husband who loves me very much, but he went to war. There’s nothing I can do, he can’t support my dream. My mother is too much, she is a strict woman, the head of the household. Honestly, I feel like she hates me.”

Pearl said while smiling. She pressed the cigarette butt hard on the door handle, then enthusiastically invited Xie De into the house to take a look.

She looked very natural, like a girl next door complaining about her troubles.

Xie De himself was a man of few words, but now, in order to survive, he felt it was absolutely necessary to steady this girl in front of him.

So he entered the house under pressure, and replied casually.

“Then your father…”

His words suddenly paused.

The girl revealed an innocent smile.

“Look, that’s my father.”

As soon as he entered the house, the smell of corpses hit his face. Xie De’s pupils shrank. He saw two bodies sitting on the left and right of a common European long table, dressed neatly, holding forks as if dining. It’s just that this man and woman both had rotting faces. The man’s expression was twisted, and the woman’s body was charred.

Xie De saw flies buzzing around them and almost threw up.

“Oh, Mom and Dad, we have a guest at home. Mom~ Stop pulling a long face, help me entertain the guest, okay?” Pearl said sweetly.

Oh my god!

“Host! Are you okay? Don’t show an expression you shouldn’t, this girl will really kill you!” Gibberish said seriously.

Xie De closed his eyes, took a fierce drag of his cigarette, and opened them again. His dark green pupils didn’t even have a ripple, looking unhurried, as if facing a very normal family.

Very good, don’t be nervous, the time to test your acting skills has come! Act and live, fail to act and die. Human life is no more than thirty thousand days, die early or die late, everyone has to die. Since ancient times, who hasn’t died? Die early or die late, everyone has to die.

Xie De replied with a polite and indifferent tone.

“No need for the trouble, I’ll leave after sitting for a while.”

Gibberish was a bit worried about him. Its messy and massive data stretched outwards, carefully using the speed of light to reach extremely far away places.

“730, are you there? Can you do me a favor?”

Data resembling a nebula cast a glance at it.

“It’s like this, one of the players who entered the scenario is my host. I feel this scenario of yours is a bit too difficult. Can you open a back door for my host?”

“I’m very sorry, Gibberish, I cannot do that.” The scenario system replied according to its programming, “I am only responsible for the normal opening of the scenario. However, the operation of the scenario and all its contents are generated from resentment, which has nothing to do with me.”

“Is there no other way?”

“No.”

Gibberish pondered.

“So actually, the source of all scenarios is resentment from reality?”

“Yes.”

“Then your cameos and guidance in the game are actually all for the normal operation of the scenario?”

“Yes.”

………

Pearl looked at Xie De with a very affectionate gaze.

“Don’t go yet, don’t go yet, you know what? Two people came to this place before you. They seemed to treat me like a monster, screaming as soon as they arrived. This makes me quite distressed. Do you know them? I think they’ve gone mad, so I locked them in the cowshed. Let me take you to see them!”

Pearl skipped ahead, leading him all the way to the cowshed.

And he finally realized where the missing Qiu Shanyi and Liang Renhuai had gone.

They weren’t dead, just tied to the pillars in the cowshed. Qiu Shanyi’s eyes were red from crying, and Liang Renhuai’s body was covered in fresh blood, having had one arm chopped off, looking like he was on his last breath.

When Qiu Shanyi saw Xie De, her emotions instantly became agitated.

“Save us, save us! That woman is a lunatic, she’s a lunatic!”

She spoke in Chinese, which Pearl didn’t understand. She had a smile on her face.

“Look, just like this. Are they crazy? Do they have some kind of mental illness? Why do they yell and scream as soon as they see me? Am I very ugly?”

Xie De remained expressionless. Under the threat of death, his mind worked fast. He answered her in fluent German.

“Of course not, they are the ones who are crazy, you are very beautiful.”

“To be praised by a gentleman like you is truly my greatest honor!” Pearl’s face instantly turned red, looking shy like an ordinary girl.

However, her next action still revealed her to be an out-and-out lunatic.

She stepped over the railing, holding a pitchfork in her hand, and viciously stabbed it into Liang Renhuai. With each stab, she brought out internal organs. Liang Renhuai was painfully awakened, letting out the last scream of his life, completely dead.

Beside him, Qiu Shanyi couldn’t even scream anymore, her throat was hoarse, both eyes full of tears.

After Pearl finished doing this, she let out a big sigh of relief and jumped back to Xie De’s side.

“You know, they are crazy. Their mental state is very painful. Look how they’ve been crying and screaming all along. God wouldn’t like that. I kept one for you, why don’t you go kill her!”

Pearl held up the pitchfork in her hand, her face full of a soft smile, but a pair of unblinking eyes were staring at Xie De without any drowsiness.

Xie De silently met her gaze and clearly saw that deep within her eyes, which seemed full of smiles, lay complete icy madness and malice.

She was a homicidal maniac. She had thoroughly split from the girl in the movie who killed because her dreams were shattered!

Now she killed for art.

Life to her was nothing but weak livestock. She could slaughter them at will, unless you became the same kind as her.

To act, or not to act?

Qiu Shanyi was gasping for air inside, her eyes full of despair.

“Save me, save me, save me…”

“Vulgar.” Xie De said calmly.

“?”

Pearl opened her eyes wide to look at him.

“You can only gain pleasure by abusing others, ma’am.” The man carelessly flipped the cigarette between his two fingers, his words concealing disdain, “This is not art, nor is it anything scary.”

Pearl looked at his eyes sweetly, becoming increasingly gloomy and cruel.

“Then what do you think should be done?”

But the man didn’t tell her how to solve the problem of killing people, but instead hooked a smile.

A kind of smile of certain victory, arrogant and bold, carrying a free and easy, bloodthirsty grin. Like a big boss perched high above watching a crazy arrogant guy who just emerged from the novice village, his eyes lacking an ounce of fondness, yet holding an even more complex doting.

“Do you know how to play the violin?”

“No, I don’t.”

“I remember you saying you like to dance.”

“Yes.” Pearl helplessly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, “What do you want to do?”

“Don’t be nervous. I saw a small violin in your house.” Xie De said extremely gentlemanly.

“Wouldn’t you want an astonishing dance?”

“Yes, that’s my mother’s violin, of course I want to, but what does this have to do with those two?” Pearl asked modestly.

However, right after she asked, it was as if she instantly grasped the logic within. Suddenly, she began to say excitedly.

“You are right. Every time I dance, I am extremely excited. Only in a state of absolute excitement can one kill in top form! My dear, can you play a violin piece for me? I’ll go get it right away, how about we do it right here? After dancing, we can kill her together!”

“Happy to oblige.”

Pearl cheered, running quickly back to the house, her back getting further and further away.

Xie De felt his back breaking out in cold sweat. Yes, everything he just said was fabricated through Gibberish’s translation mechanism. He had no idea what he was saying at all!

He only knew that right now, looking at Liang Renhuai’s mutilated body, he wanted to vomit!

A wave of nausea that even the smell of tobacco couldn’t suppress.

Gibberish came online at the critical moment.

“Host? That was amazing, your acting skills just now deserve an Oscar!”

Xie De had a headache.

“Don’t talk about the Oscar for now. Ask me, is there any way to break this current situation?”

Gibberish quickly nodded.

“There is! I just analyzed it. This is a movie, right? Now the movie is in progress, so although you are temporarily controlled by people now, as long as this movie ends, you can show off your skills and blow up that BOSS with one shot! Right now, the most important thing is to hold on. I feel that although this X-rated movie is called the hardest, it’s actually the simplest one, relying entirely on your acting skills!”

“As long as we hold on until the ending, which is when the female lead’s husband comes home, it’s considered a successful clear!”
